Still Alive!

No need to send out a search party. I'm still alive and well. Since early July, I am back in school. It is odd with distant learning. There are pros and cons.

  1. No need to worry about traffic and making it to school on-time.

  2. Don't need to bring a luggage load of things to school. I used to bring my textbooks to read and do homework in between classes, snacks, lunch, and so on because I would be on campus from 8:00 am-7:30 pm! (I lived 30 miles away from school! About 45-minutes drive.)

  3. I get to sleep more!

  4. Save money from dining out. Regular stop at Starbucks in the morning and before an evening class. Then spending $15-18 on lunch. (Yikes!)

  1. I miss the face-to-face interaction with my classmates and professors.

  2. Class lectures on Zoom can be distracting if your peers forgot to mute their microphone. You can hear dog barking, babies crying, and other background noises.

  3. Technological issues like loss of connection just because or due to a thunderstorm.

I might have to post an article about what I did to stay organized to maintain those A's in the nursing program. (I'm basically stressin' out. Two more weeks until the end of the quarter/final exams. Dun, dun, dun.) You don't have to be in nursing school but it gives you some ideas that you can add or do for that academic success.

Other than that, nothing else new. School keeps me very busy from weekly readings, 3-5 pages of a research paper, 2-3 pages of lab paperwork, and online discussions. It is crazy.

I hope you are doing safe and well.

So this is what my bearded dragon feels like in his enclosure. It has been a while since I decided to write. I hope you are staying safe. My world has been filled with uncertainties ever since Preside
